3M Paint Film - The film is made of a tough, optically clear urethane that acts as a shock absorber while protecting your new paint job. The surface of the urethane is coated with a clear coating much like the paint on the vehicle. However, the film will not chip or pit like paint. Most road debris bounces off the surface without damaging or pitting the film. The shock absorbing characteristic allows the film to maintain its high gloss and smooth surface even after thousands of miles of road debris.
